Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky has canceled a high-profile speech to the Council of Europe due to “very urgent, unforeseen circumstances”, the organization has said, APA reports citing the Twitter page of the organization.
The Council adjourned the proposed session for four hours and said it hoped Ukrainian Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal would address the group instead.
"Ukrainian President Zelensky, who was due to address the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe at midday today, was unable to speak very urgent, unforeseen circumstances. But it's hoped that Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal will be able to speak via video-link at 16h CET today."
The Prime Minister is expected to address at 19:00 Baku time.
