Ukraine becomes JARUS member

The State Aviation Service of Ukraine has become a full member of JARUS (Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems), according to the press service of the State Aviation Service, APA reports citing Ukrinform.

"JARUS membership opens opportunities for thematic working groups, establishing contacts with organizations and leading global companies that are directly involved in developing a global concept of regulating unmanned aerial vehicles, and enables promoting the development and resolve problems in the industry,” the State Aviation Service reported.

JARUS is a team of experts from over 60 countries, including the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL). The main purpose of the merger is to develop common technical, operational and safety requirements for the safe operation of unmanned aerial vehicles and their safe integration into airspace.
