On October 15, Kémi Séba, a political activist known for his anti-colonial and anti-imperialist stance, was released after being detained in Paris, APA reports citing Le Parisien.
Although he was released on October 16, the official statement was released today.
Kémi Séba's lawyer stated that he was interrogated in connection with a criminal case regarding external interference in the region's internal affairs, as well as allegations of espionage for a foreign state.
Ultimately, the court ruled that there was no criminal basis for Kemi Seba's actions.
Note that Kémi Séba, who has been one of the prominent figures protesting France's radical measures in its African colonies, also participated in the international conference themed "French Neocolonialism Policy in Africa" held in Baku.
Within the framework of the event, he gave an interview to APA News Agency.
