On the night of August 25, Russian forces struck four cities simultaneously – Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro, RBC-Ukraine reports.
As a result, fires broke out and residential buildings were damaged, according to the Air Force and the press services of the city and regional military administrations.
Towards the end of Independence Day, the Air Force reported Banderol missiles heading toward the Kyiv region and a jet drone near the capital.
As a result, in the Holosiivskyi district, falling drone debris caused wall damage and shattered windows on the 14th floor of a 16-story residential building. No fire was reported.
"Emergency services are working at the scene," Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko concluded on Telegram.
A missile struck the Osnovianskyi district of Kharkiv – as a result of the Russia's shelling, one person was killed, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported.
In the Kyivskyi district, a strike by a Molniya drone was recorded earlier, but no details were provided.
Since the evening of August 24, the Air Force had been warning about groups of drones and the threat of tactical aviation. As a result of the UAV strike, an apartment building was damaged, and a fire broke out in one of the apartments.
It is also known that the Russian drone attack also caused a fire in non-residential buildings.
The head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, showed footage from the impact site, which showed flames, a building, and rescue workers.
The air raid alert in Dnipro began on Monday evening, around 9:30 PM. Later, media reported explosions in the regional center, which recurred over time. Loud explosions were also reported in Pavlohrad.
The Air Force reported a jet drone moving from the north.
