During the war between Russia and Ukraine, some of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada went abroad – soon the SBU will deal with them, APA reports citing Global happenings.
As of March 15, about 20 people’s deputies of Ukraine are abroad. Moreover, people’s deputies with pro-Russian views fled from the war.
This was stated by the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Korniyenko on the air of the Ukraine 24 channel.
“There are different figures, I won’t specify now… About 20 people’s deputies are not in Ukraine. Let’s just say… these are deputies, and before that they had their unpatriotic manifestations, voting, and so on,” – he said.
In addition, now nine deputies are on a business trip to the Council of Europe.
Kornienko added that the Security Service of Ukraine will also take care of the people’s deputies-traitors as soon as the law on collaborators comes into force.
