The EU intends to blacklist 42 tankers and impose sanctions for the first time on ports in third countries – Indonesia and Georgia – for operations involving Russian oil as part of the 20th sanctions package against Russia, according to a document submitted by the European Commission to EU countries for approval, APA reoirts citing Reuters.
According to the agency, this concerns the Kulevi terminal in Georgia and the port of Karimun in Indonesia. Furthermore, the agency claims that the EU intends to impose sanctions against banks from Tajikistan, Laos, and Kyrgyzstan and lift sanctions against two Chinese banks.
