Russian attacks on Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia kill 11, injure 26 - UPDATED

Eleven people have been killed and 26 injured as a result of Russian army attacks on Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, UNIAN reports, citing the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.

According to the information, Russian forces launched massive attacks on Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia on the evening of August 10 and during the night of August 11.

Five people were killed and seven others injured in Dnipropetrovsk region, including three minors.

It was reported that Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia with missiles and guided aerial bombs. Six people – five men and one woman – were killed in the attack. Another 19 people were reported injured.

Residential buildings and industrial infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of the attacks.

Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia on the night of 10-11 August, using ballistic missiles and guided aerial bombs. The attack has killed six people and injured 19, while fires have broken out and parts of the city have lost power, said Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, on Telegram, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

"Nine people are known to have been injured as a result of an enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia. Information about the effects of the attack continues to come in."

Fedorov said residential buildings and non-residential infrastructure facilities had been damaged in the attack.

Fedorov reported at 02:10 that five people had been killed and 20 injured.

Fires also broke out at the sites of the strikes, while parts of the city were left without electricity as a result of the attack.

As of 07:00, six people had been killed and 19 injured in the Russian attack.

Russian forces launched an aerial attack on Ukraine at around 00:30. Russian ballistic missiles attacked Pavlohrad, Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv in two waves.
