Petroleum-based materials play an important role in the production of numerous modern medical devices, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said, APA-Economics reports.
“Life-saving devices are made from materials derived from oil,” the post said.
It was noted that the use of petroleum-based materials is one of the key factors enabling the production of modern medical devices.
Note that OPEC is an intergovernmental organization comprising oil-exporting countries. The organization was established in 1960. OPEC is headquartered in Vienna.
