Iran could have nuclear weapons by now if the United States had not intervened, U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Real America’s Voice.

He defended his policy aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Trump noted that Iran could have nuclear weapons by now if the United States had not intervened: “If I didn’t do it, they would have nuclear weapons right now, and you would be calling them ‘sir’.”

Trump said the United States has three strategies regarding Iran. According to him, the first option is to continue the current policy of pressure: “Look at how bad their situation is. They have 300 percent inflation. Their currency is worth almost nothing. They are not paying their soldiers. Their soldiers are leaving the military.”

Trump stressed that the second option is to “hit Iran very, very hard,” while the third option is to defeat the country economically.

The U.S. President said Iran’s economic situation is difficult, adding: “They can’t borrow money. We control their money. They had a lot of money, and we have total control over it. I’m their banker.”
