The European Union plans to include 50 commodity codes in the 16th package of sanctions against Russia; during a visit to Astana, EU Special Envoy for Sanctions David O'Sullivan discussed them with the Kazakh authorities, APA reports quoting TASS.
"We cover 60% of all previous import and export goods, about 7,500 products. The only goods that I discussed with Kazakhstan are 50 product codes. I think that the 16th package will certainly bring additional trade restrictions for those 50 products that we asked the Kazakh authorities to pay special attention to," he said in an interview with Kazakhstan's Silkway TV channel. The text of the interview was published by the Kazinform agency .
He also said the EU reserves the right to "prevent trade with those" it says are deliberately circumventing sanctions.
