Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has signed a contract with North American Major League Soccer (MLS) club Chicago Fire. The team's press service announced this, APA reports.
The agreement runs until the end of the 2027/28 season.
Since the summer of 2022, the Pole has played for Barcelona. With the team, he won three Spanish league titles, three Spanish Super Cups, and one Spanish Cup.
Lewandowski is 37 years old. From 2010 to 2014, he played for Borussia Dortmund, and from 2014 to 2022, for Bayern Munich, with whom he won eight German championships, three German Cups, a Champions League title, and a UEFA Super Cup. Lewandowski has played 165 matches for the Polish national team, scoring 89 goals, making him the team's all-time leading scorer.
