"Turkey is a great country, an important partner", said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Republic of Latvia, Artis Pabriks while delivering a speech at the panel within the framework of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, APA reports.
"It is a fact that there are different thoughts in the different capitals regarding Turkey. But we consider Turkey an important partner, and as Latvia, we have always supported Turkey's membership in the EU. I think that this country meets the requirements of EU membership. We would like the membership talks to be resumed".
