In honor of the memory of those killed in the accident on Shatili Road, August 25 has been declared a day of mourning in Georgia by a government decree, APA reports citing Georgia Today.
The government administration issued a relevant statement.
In connection with the day of mourning, national flags will be lowered on all administrative buildings throughout Georgia.
Note that the tragic incident took place on Sunday evening near Biso village in the Dusheti Municipality, as a result of which a minibus fell down a rocky slope from a height of about 80 meters.
"Based on the information available at the moment, as a result of the incident, 17 people died and 3 were seriously injured. The injured have been hospitalized, and are currently under the supervision of doctors. Their condition remains critical,” the MIA said.
