Yegana Lachinzade – APA. Twenty-seven people have been dismissed from various departments at Petkim petrochemical complex (SOCAR’s asset in Turkey), Vagif Aliyev, Chairman of Board of Management of SOCAR Turkey Energy, said on Thursday.
Moreover, four employees of SOCAR Turkey Energy, a Turkish subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR), have been removed from duty, he added.
“SOCAR management believes that Turkey will overcome this difficult situation,” said Aliyev. “We always stand by Turkey and will continue to invest in this country.”
Earlier, General Manager of Petkim Sadettin Korkut resigned, then he was detained.
Sadeddin Korkut, former Petkim director general, was detained in connection with the complaint of one high-ranking official of the company, who was dismissed earlier, SOCAR spokesman Nizamaddin Guliyev told APA-Economics.
Korkut was replaced by Anar Mammadov, former SOCAR Greece General Manager, a Greek subsidiary of SOCAR.
Mammadov has already been introduced to Petkim’s staff.
