Volume of oil transported through Türkiye via BTC increases by more than 4%

In January-September of 2023, 171 676 thousand barrels of oil were transported through Türkiye’s territory via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, which is 4,44% more in annual comparison, APA-Economics reports citing Türkiye’s "BOTAŞ" company.

According to information, 164 379 thousand barrels of oil were transported through the territory of Türkiye via BTC pipeline in the corresponding period of previous year.

Note that 225 445 thousand barrels of oil was transported through Türkiye via BTC pipeline in 2022, which is 12,64% more in annual comparison.

Recall that oil produced from Azerbaijan's Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields is imported via BTC pipeline. Besides, the oil of other producers is also sent to the territory of Türkiye via BTC pipeline.
