The 2nd pumping station of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC) located in Yevlakh, Azerbaijan transfers an average of 620,000 barrels of oil per day, Rashad Mammadov, the field manager of the station said within the framework of the media tour organized by the BP company to the regions, APA-Economics reports.
It was noted that the pumping station operates on the basis of Shah Deniz gas received through the South Caucasus pipeline.
Rashad Mammadov also noted that so far, more than 4.1 bln. barrels or more than 546 mln. tons of oil have been transported and loaded onto tankers and exported to the world markets through the BTC oil pipeline.
