In February this year, Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production stood at 458,000 barrels, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
The figure also stood at 457,000 barrels in January this year.
According to the data, Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production amounted to 466,000 barrels, 461,000 barrels, 459,000 barrels and 458,000 barrels in the first, second, third and fourth quarters of last year, respectively.
It was noted that Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production reached 461,000 barrels in 2025, which is 20,000 barrels less compared to the indicator of 2024.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan is a participant in the “OPEC+” agreement. “OPEC+” is an initiative involving the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC countries aimed at reducing oil production in order to balance the market.
According to the agreement reached by the ministers of the “OPEC+” countries, Azerbaijan’s production quota will amount to 551,000 barrels per day until the end of 2026. Thus, Azerbaijan lagged behind its quota by 93,000 barrels in February this year within the framework of “OPEC+”, and by 90,000 barrels overall in 2025.
