In January-June of this year, 19 649,7 thousand tonnes of oil were transported in Azerbaijan via main oil pipelines, which is 10,7% more in annual comparison, State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
76,5% of transportation was implemented via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. During the reporting period, 15 025,4 thousand tonnes of oil were transferred via the pipeline (6,48% more in annual comparison).
During the reporting period, 83,7% or 12 570,2 thousand tons of oil transported through the BTC pipeline was produced in Azerbaijan, and 16,3% or 2 455,2 thousand tons (4% decrease) was made up of oil imported from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
