Construction of 4 new hydroelectric power plants started in Azerbaijan's Zangilan, Head of Public Relations Center of Azerenergy OJSC Teymur Abdullayev said, APA's Garabagh bureau reports.
In accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev regarding the creation of new "green energy" potential in the territories, Azerbaijan liberated from occupation, in 2022, "Azerenergy" OJSC has started constructing hydroelectric power plants in four locations in the part of Okchuchay passing through Zangilan district with a 10.5-megawatt power each and a total power of 42 megawatts.
He noted that works are already being finalized at "Sarigishlaq", "Shayifli" and "Zangilan" hydroelectric power plants, and the works at "Jahangirbeyli" hydroelectric power plants have been completed.
