In total, 71 new power stations with a total capacity of 4.000 megawatt have been commissioned in the last 20 years. Currently, there are 93 power stations with a total capacity of 8.000 megawatt in the country, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov said as he addressed a conference themed "20 years of unparalleled service to the country, people and statehood" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev's presidency, APA reports.
“In 2003, the level of gasification in the country was only 40 percent, but now this indicator is 96.3 percent,” PM Asadov noted.
