Azerbaijan's humanitarian aid to Ukraine exceeds 40 million USD

The amount of aid sent to Ukraine so far has exceeded 40 million US dollars. To date, more than 3.4 meters of wire and cable, 70 generators, 134 transformers, and complete transformer substations have been dispatched, the head of the department of the Ministry of Energy, Alasgar Hasanov, said in a statement to journalists, APA reports.

He noted that when sending equipment, the wishes and needs of the other side are taken into account: "By the Order of President Ilham Aliyev on February 5, 2025, $1 million (in its manat equivalent) has been allocated for humanitarian aid to Ukraine in the form of electrical equipment. The first batch of this aid was sent on February 7. The humanitarian aid consists of 17 transformers and 52,000 meters of wires and cables. The amount of aid sent to date has exceeded USD 40 million. So far, more than 3.4 million meters of wires and cables, 70 generators, 134 transformers, and complete transformer stations have been sent. These electrical supplies are used to restore the energy infrastructure damaged by the war. The equipment is sent based on Ukraine’s specific requests. The aid provided under the Order is now complete."
