Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields, located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, have produced 405.8 bln. cubic meter of gas since its commissioning to July 1, 2023, Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.
During the reporting period, 209,9 bln. cubic meter of gas from "Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" and 195,9 bln. cubic meter of gas from Shah Deniz was produced.
"In this period, about 138.1 bln. cubic meters of the gas produced from the Shah Deniz field were transported for export", the statement said.
Note that according to operational data for January-June 2023, 24.1 bln. cubic meters of natural gas were produced in the country within 6 months. 6.5 billion cubic meters of the gas was from ACG, 13.2 bln. cubic meters from "Shah Deniz", and 4.4 bln. cubic meter was produced by SOCAR. 0.7 bln. cubic meters in gas production compared to the corresponding period of last year, i.e., an increase of about 3% was recorded.
"During the reporting period, gas sales abroad amounted to approximately 12 bln. cubic meters, which is approximately 7.5% more than the corresponding period of last year. In January-June of the current year, approximately 5 bln. cubic meters to Türkiye, approximately 5.7 bln. cubic meters to Europe, and 1.3 billion of gas was sold to Georgia. It should be noted that 2.8 bln. cubic meters of gas were transported Turkey with TANAP during this period," the information states.
