Baku. Ramil Mammadli -APA. US extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar has met with CEC chairman Mezahir Penahov.
Media and public relations department of CEC secretariat told APA that during the meeting the ambassador got interested in the works done within current stage of the elections and the planned projects.
Noting that registration of candidates are about to end, Penahov brought to the attention that pre-electoral propaganda campaign would start on September 16. He mentioned that all necessary conditions had been created for the candidates to hold propaganda campaign in association with legislation. The chairman spoke about the steps taken for holding of forthcoming elections democratically.
The meeting also focused on the cooperation prospects connected with the elections.
