Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. Rustam Ibrahimbeyov nominated for presidency by the Initiative Group of the National Council’s voters will appeal to the UN Human Rights Committee, lawyer Fuad Aghayev told APA.
“The litigation in the courts of Azerbaijan has been completed. In order to protect Rustam Ibrahimbeyov’s rights we have decided to appeal to the United Nations as the next level,” - said Aghayev.
Elman Mustafazadeh, an authorized representative of the National Council’s Initiative Group, told APA that although the stage of nomination for elections is about to end, the Group will continue its activity.
On August 27, the Central Election Commission refused to approve Rustam Ibrahimbeyov’s candidacy.
