President Ilham Aliyev visits Astara district

APA reports that the head of state attended the opening of Degadi-Pelikesh highway.

The construction of the highway started in 2013 has already been completed. The highway with the length of 21 km is available for 12,000 residents from 21 settlements.

President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the condition created in the tea processing factory of Astarachay LLC. He is informed that "Astarachay" agricultural enterprise was established in 2010. Its total cultivated area is 640 ha. Modern irrigation network was created in the tea plantations and there are 400 hectares of tea-growing area in the farm. A tea factory has been built here under the project of South Korean company.

Upon reviewing the tea factory, President Ilham Aliyev met with the public representatives of the district.

Later, the head of state familiarized himself with the condition created in the seaside promenade of Astara.
