President Ilham Aliyev congratulates Jewish community of Azerbaijan on Rosh Hashanah

Baku-APA. President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the Jewish community of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the national holiday Rosh Hashanah, APA reports.

The message of congratulations says:

Dear fellow countrymen!

I heartily congratulate you on the occasion of one of significant national holidays of the Jewish people - Rosh Hashanah and send my best wishes to all of you.

Azerbaijan, which is located at the crossroad of civilizations, is one of the rare places, where ethnic-cultural diversity, multiculturalist traditions have been preserved, various religions and cultures are coexisting in an atmosphere of mutual respect and confidence. The Jewish community has a special place in the Azerbaijani society, where exist traditional freindship and brotherhood among people, solidarity of citizens and exemplary tolerance. I am pleased to note that the Jewish community plays a special role in the socio-political and cultural life of our country, is taking an active part in the process of legal state-building.

Once again I congratulate each of you on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah, the symbol of renewal, spiritual purity and solidarity, wish your families happiness and abundance to your homes. Happy Holidays!"
