Baku - APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today presided over a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of socio-economic development in the first quarter of 2015 and tasks ahead.
President Ilham Aliyev said that the results of the first quarter of 2015 were positive and gross domestic product increased by 5% in this period. The head of state also noted that the dynamic development was ensured, non-oil sector increased by 7%, industrial production by 4%, agriculture by 3% during the last three months. The president said all this is a result of sound economic policy being pursued in the country.
The sharp drop in oil prices has not affected the dynamic development of Azerbaijan, the president noted.
