OSCE PA to observe election in Azerbaijan

Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubayli-APA. OSCE PA election observation mission to be headed by Michel Voisin will visit Azerbaijan before and during presidential elections, said Michael Voisin to APA’s bureau in Europe.

According to him, the mission will pay a visit to Azerbaijan with a group of observers before the election and on the election day. “We will pay two visits. The first visit will take place before September 20, the second time we will visit Azerbaijan on October 3 and be in the country on the election day. As you know, I have been charged to head the election mission and appointed as coordinator in Azerbaijan by Ukrainian Foreign Minister, current Chairman-in-Office of OSCE. The purpose of the visit is to get closely acquainted with election in the country and to study pre- and post election situation.

Michel Voisin noted that they will have other meetings with colleagues from OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights in Azerbaijan. “The exact date and agenda of our mission will be known next week.”
Michel Voisin is head of France's delegation to the OSCE PA.
