APA reports quoting the results of the poll conducted by “Opinion” Monitoring Center that 84.7% of the respondents intend to vote for incumbent President Ilham Aliyev.
82% of the respondents said Ilham Aliyev meets their interests, 6% said does not meet their interests, 5% said he does not mainly meet their interests. Other respondents found it difficult to answer the question.
According to the poll, to the question “if the presidential elections were held on the coming Sunday”, 62% of the respondents said they would go to the elections”. 20% of the respondents said they would likely participate in the elections, 13% said they would not go to the elections, 5% found it difficult to answer.
To the question “Do you know that the National Council has nominated reserve candidate?”, 90.4% of the respondents said they heard about it for the first time, 9.6% said they were aware of it. 60% of those who were aware of it, were the respondents in Baku.
Though 58.3% percent of those who have information about the candidate knew his name, 41.7% out of them didn’t recognize him.
In poll, the potential candidates of opposition Jamil Hasanli collected 0.4% votes, Rustam Ibrahimbeyov – 0.2%, Isa Gambar, Ali Karimli, Rasul Guliyev and Eldar Namazov – 0.1% and 0.3%.
Those allegedly called opposition received 1.5% of votes by respondents.
The report has been made basing on “omnibus” public opinion survey conducted on August 26-30, 2013. The poll covered randomly selected 36 residential districts in 10 socio-economic zones of Azerbaijan.
1535 people over the age of 18 participated in the poll conducted through face-to-face interview. The relative fault is 3%.
