The CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov, the Deputy Chief of the Department of Socio-Political Issues of Presidential Administration Arastun Mehdiyev, Head of OSCE Office in Baku Koray Targay, Charge D`Affaires of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Toralf Piltz and heads of executive authorities of some regions are attending the ceremony, APA reports.
Speaking at the opening ceremony Mazahir Panahov said that the state approaches this process sensitively as presidential elections decide the next 5-year fate of the country: “Sufficient measures have been taken up to now regarding the elections. Guarantor of the election is the Head of the State. Head of the State ensures the right of citizens to elect and be elected. CEC members, the authorized organizations on elections must hold the elections transparently and fairly, because the state has created all necessary conditions.”
Information sessions will be organized for heads of regional executive authorities and chairmen of constituency election commissions. These sessions aim at exchanging views with heads of regional executive authorities and chairmen of constituency election commissions regarding the inadmissibility of illegal interference in election process.
Information sessions are expected to be held in Mingachevir on August 27 and in Shirvan city on August 30.
