The European Parliament's Conference of Presidents (the leaders of the political groups) has drawn up a priority list for election observations in the second half of 2013. On the list are Azerbaijan, Georgia, Honduras, Nepal and Tajikistan.
The Conference of Presidents will decide at a later stage on the sending of election observation delegations in each separate case. Thus, on 12 September a decision will be taken on sending a delegation to Azerbaijan.
In 2013 the European Parliament has so far sent six delegations to observe elections inJordan, Armenia, Kenya, Paraguay, Pakistan and Mali.
