Baku. Ramil Mammadli - APA. The delegation led by head of the observation mission of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights ( ODIHR ) of the OSCE Tana de Zulueta Tsentarlnoy met with the chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov .
According to APA, the CEC Chairman noted that the report of the OSCE / ODIHR on the presidential election in Azerbaijan was non-objective.
Mazahir Panahov, bringing to the attention of the Mission a number of facts in this regard, said the OSCE / ODIHR has put itself in an isolated position, preparing a report differing from the position of the many reputable international organizations to observe the presidential elections in Azerbaijan.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission also noted that the preliminary report of the OSCE / ODIHR completely contradicts the position of many observers, based on real facts and observations, and thus biased approach in the interim reports, openly distorting the truth, has been continued. In preparing the report, it was revealed distorted laws of the country, including the Electoral Code, in assessing the various stages of the presidential elections in most cases, links to any facts had been made, the base taken only assumptions and approval of stakeholders, not even respected the principle of a simple balancing.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission to substantiate his statements concrete examples of that report, said the assumption of serious legal errors in the reports and asked to state the facts on which the mission representatives based in the preparation of the report.
Mazahir Panahov also noted that the CEC has always appreciated the mutual constructive cooperation with international organizations, the leadership of the democratic values ​​in their work.
According to him, constantly demonstrated by the OSCE / ODIHR biased position on the elections held in Azerbaijan has set the CEC to have to appeal to the government of Azerbaijan on the revision of future co-operation with the OSCE / ODIHR.
