CEC registers Igbal Aghazadeh as presidential candidate - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED

CEC secretary Arifa Mukhtarova said that the documents and signature sheets received by CEC on registration of the candidacy of Igbal Aghazadeh nominated by Umid Party were examined and determined its legal basis.

Following this, head of CEC Working Group Ilham Mammadov said that the OSCE observation mission also attended the process of checking the documents. He said that the documents in connection with the registration of Igbal Aghazadeh’s candidacy were checked. 43950 signatures were collected from 102 constituencies for his candidacy registration. During the checking, 40152 signatures were turned out to be valid.

Arifa Mukhtarova added that 40000 signatures are to be collected for candidacy registration.

Then CEC registered Igbal Aghazadeh as presidential candidate.

Earlier, CEC registered President Ilham Aliyev as presidential candidate.
