Azerbaijan Central Election Commission confirms one more presidential candidate

APA reports that the protocol dated August 20, 2013 was confirmed at the meeting. The confirmation of the candidacy of ANAS employee Gudrat Isag Isagov nominated on his initiative was considered.

CEC secretary Arifa Mukhtarova said that the documents received by CEC on confirmation of the candidacy of the abovementioned person were examined and determined its legal basis.

Later, CEC confirmed Isagov’s candidacy in the upcoming presidential elections through open voting.

Information about the changes in the composition of election commissions and the rule of preparation of final protocols by election commissions on the results of voting.

Following this, the registration of authorized representatives of Ali Aliyev, whose candidacy was confirmed, was considered and relevant decision was passed.

Totally, 17 persons have already been nominated for the presidency, candidacies of 15 out of them were confirmed. They are Ilham Aliyev, Ahmad Oruj, Ilgar Mammadov (Ilgar Altay), Igbal Aghazadeh, Fuad Aliyev, Ali Aliyev, Araz Alizadeh, Gudrat Hasanguliyev, Hafiz Hajiyev, Zahid Oruj, Faraj Guliyev, Arastun Orujlu, Elshan Hasanov, Ismayil Yusifov and Q. Isagov.

The presidential elections will be held on October 9.
