ATUC: As former Mehsul stadium is unfit for use, it has been decided to close it for repair

According to him, the stadium is on the balance of the Association of Sports Organizations under ATUC.

Noting that he doesn’t know when the stadium will be closed, Agamirov said the stadium is unfit for trainings: “In fact, the repair of the stadium has long been discussed. The stadium has become unfit for use, because of the rallies and meetings held at the stadium on the eve of the presidential elections. And so it has been decided to renovate the stadium.”

Agamirov also commented on the appeal sent by the National Council to Baku Mayor’s Office to hold a rally at the stadium on October 27: “The Trade Unions Confederation is not an organization that decides whether a rally or meeting will be held or not. But if Baku Mayor’s Office decides to hold a rally at the stadium, the rally can take place there.”
