Rustam Ibrahimbeyov and CEC comment on decision not to confirm his candidacy

Moscow. Farid Akberov – APA. Rustam Ibrahimbeyov will sue the Central Election Commission (CEC).

Rustam Ibrahimbeyov told APA's Moscow correspondent that the decision not to register his candidacy is illegal: “CEC’s decision is not right. Therefore, I’m going to sue them.”

Chief of CEC media and public relations department Azar Sariyev told APA that CEC’s decision is not groundless: “The decision was passed basing on the official responses to the questionnaires of the state agencies of Azerbaijan and Russia. The Constitution and election legislation are priority for us.”
