5,150,000 voters to receive notifications in Azerbaijan

APA reports that the decision contains the instructions for the constituency commissions to inform voters about the time and place of voting basing on the article #104.1 of the Election Code.

The decision notes that in accordance with “Rules of delivery of notifications to voters about the place and time of the voting in the elections (referendum) of Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by CEC’s decision 5/28 dated June 5, 2013, the requirements for shape, number and the rules of preparation of notifications are to be confirmed at least 40 days before the elections. With the view of sending to the voters the notifications containing information about the voter, his/her address, the address of the polling station, date and place of voting, list of the identification documents used in the process of voting, rules of voting, it is expedient to print the notifications at the printing house of the parliament taking into account the number of the voters included in the permanent voters’ lists.

Basing on the above-mentioned, CEC has decided to confirm the text and form of the notification for informing the voters about the date and place of the voting in connection with the presidential elections on October 9, 2013. According to the decision, 5, 150, 000 notifications will be printed at the printing house of the Parliament.
