APA reports that the first plenary meeting of the session has started with sounding of national anthem.
Delivering a keynote speech at the meeting, speaker Ogtay Asadov spoke about the rejection by PACE of Strasser’s report on political prisoners in Azerbaijan and said it is the victory of the Azerbaijani government and people: “The anti-Azerbaijan forces’ intentions failed. Ilham Aliyev’s successful policy won.”
Asadov also spoke about the working plan of the spring session. The speaker said several laws, the Government’s report and reports on the implementation of the state budget for 2012, Chamber of Accounts, Ombudsman and municipalities will be discussed during the session.
12 issues have been included in the agenda of today’s meeting.
