Azerbaijani Parliament sends letters of thanks to countries that adopted resolutions on Khojaly genocide

APA reports that opening the meeting, speaker Ogtay Asadov spoke about Khojaly genocide, which the 21st anniversary has been held in recent days. He noted that commemorative events on the anniversary of Khojaly genocide were held in several countries and the resolutions on the genocide were adopted by 7 states of the US, Pakistani Parliament and several European countries: “In this regard, in a short span of time we have achieved what a number of countries could achieve within 40-50 years,” he said.

Following this, the Azerbaijani Parliament has sent letters of thanks to the parliaments, which adopted the resolutions on Khojaly realities.

The Ombudsperson’s annual report will be heard and 12 issues will be discussed at the today’s meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
