Baku – APA. The Ministry of Finance has started allocating the funds designated for political parties. The Finance Ministry’s press service told APA that according to 17-1 article of the “Law on political parties” of Azerbaijan, 10 percent of the funds allocated from the state budget to finance the political parties, will be proportionally distributed among the political parties, whose candidates gained at least 3 percent of votes during the parliamentary elections, but didn’t win parliamentary seats. 40 percent of the allocated financial resources will be equally distributed among the political parties represented in the parliament, 50 percent will be proportionally distributed according to the number of the elected deputies.
According to paragraph 2.3 of the Decree â„– 625 signed by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev on May 8, 2012, the Ministry of Finance were tasked to ensure the transfer of the funds allocated from the state budget to the relevant bank accounts of the political parties.
The funds allocated from 2013 state budget to political parties were distributed among the corresponding parties as follows:

Funds allocated from the state budget will be transferred to the bank accounts of political parties by the Ministry of Finance on the quarterly basis.
