Baku. Mubariz Aslanov - APA. “It is not right for any international organization, including PACE to interfere in Azerbaijan’s internal affairs,” deputy chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), MP Ali Ahmadov said while commenting on the statement issued by PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs on Azerbaijan Pedro Agramunt and Joseph Debono Grech regarding the arrest of Tofig Yagublu and Ilgar Mammadov, APA reports.

Noting that Azerbaijan was having normal cooperation with PACE and other international organizations, Ali Ahmadov said interference of the co-rapporteurs in the internal problems of the country was not praiseworthy.

“Unrest occurred in a region of Azerbaijan and investigations have been carried out regarding the perpetrators. The persons suspected of committing the unrest, including Ilgar Mammadov and Tofig Yagublu have been arrested. The investigations will find out how much they are guilty in the unrest. If their guilt is proven, legal assessment will be given. If it is not proven, other realities will be found out,” he said.

According to Ali Ahmadov, it is not right for the international organizations to object to the legal assessment given to the actions committed in the country.

“A state’s admission to an international organization does not mean deprival of its right,” he said.
