Azerbaijanâ€™s President visits Mingachevir

Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev visited Mingachevir city on April 16. APA reports that the Head of State opened a number of social infrastructure facilities.

President Ilham Aliyev visited the monument to Heydar Aliyev in front of the newly-constructed Heydar Aliyev Center and laid flowers at the monument.

Following this, the Head of State attended the opening ceremony of Heydar Aliyev Center.

President familiarized himself with the center, met with the residents.

The Head of State also familiarized himself with the reconstruction in Dostlug park named after Mushfig Mirzayev.

President attended the opening of the Youth House.

The Head of State also familiarized himself with Sahil Park under reconstruction and rest complex on the bank of the Kur river after reconstruction.

Following this, President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the projects on the construction of offices of the Special Risky Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Regiment of the Civil Defense Troops and State Agency for Water Resources.

President familiarized himself with the integrated security system of Mingachevir water reservoir.

Reporting to President, the Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kemaleddin Heydarov said the protection and security systems are perfect.

Viewing the scheme and model of the security system of Mingachevir water reservoir, President watched the film on the integrated security system and operation against possible intervention.

President Aliyev also familiarized with the situation created in newly-built residential estate of multi-storey buildings for 502 IDP families.

The club-community center, administrative building, first aid station and post office were constructed in the residential estate.

The President also got acquainted with the conditions created in 480-seat Aghdam secondary school #52. It was said that it is the 78th residential estate that has been constructed for refugees and IDPs up to now.

Following this, visiting Flag Square, Ilham Aliyev was told that the height of the flag pole in Heydar Aliyev avenue is 42 meters. The flag, national anthem and coat of arms of Azerbaijan have been reflected around the flag.
