Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. The presentation ceremony of "El" Movement has been held in Baku today. APA reports that leaders of political parties, representatives of civil society, representatives of the U.S., French and German embassies, as well as the OSCE and the European Union attended the ceremony held at the office of the Movement.

Eldar Namazov has been elected as Chairman of the Movement’s Board. He gave information on the activity of Initiative Group for the establishment of the Movement and said that initiative groups have already been created in 35 cities and regions. Professor Eldar Abbasov, political analyst Zafar Guliyev, politician Kocheri Naghibeyli, famous football player Mashallah Ahmadov, ex-president of National Olympic Committee Mahyaddin Allahverdiyev, chairman of Azerbaijan Intellectuals Union Eldaniz Guliyev and others are the members of the Initiative Group.

Chairman of the APFP Ali Karimli said that democratic forces should be active, as the country has many problems. Chairman of Musavat Party Isa Gambar said the most important task of the political leaders is to participate in the presidential elections. He said that irrespective of identity each candidate must accept the will of the people: “This candidate may be either Eldar Namazov or other friends. Even we can be the candidate. The process will show it. However, the main thing is to change the situation in the country, to achieve democratic reforms.”

"El" Movement issued a statement at the end of the ceremony. The statement says that the Movement is ready to cooperate with all opposition forces of the country.
