Musavat Central Control Audit Commission member: “If Rauf Arifoglu nominates for Presidency, the party can consider his issueâ€
To him, the main issue is regional organizations will pass decision on absence or participation in the elections.
“They will bear load on shoulders during the elections. I regretted that we passed such decision. I understand arguments of those, who are against participation in the elections and understand that there is not chance for free political activity and there is financial problem. Irrespective of these reasons, I supported participation in the electionsâ€, he said. As regards nomination of Editor-in-Chief of Yeni Musavat newspaper Rauf Arifoglu for Presidency, Hajizadeh noted that editor-in-chief could join elections as Azerbaijani citizen.
“This action is not against decision passed by the party and there is not any problem here. People are free in Musavat party. They can say what they want to say. Rauf can join election individually but he cannot speak on the behalf of the partyâ€, he said.
Musavat Party Central Control Audit Commission member Alovsat Talishkhanli told APA that if Rauf nominated for Presidency, the party would consider his issue.
“I said my opinion on Rauf two years ago. These are his last commitments at somebody. Rauf got special task. We can investigate and consider the issue. If he considers him as member of Musavat Party, he should obey the decisionâ€, he said.
Arifoglu told APA that each member could take stance on decision, conduct promotion according to regulations of the party.
“There is not violation of regulations and I know regulations very well. There will be initiatives, but it will impede democracy. Such rumours do not influence on my thoughtâ€, he said.
