Removal of Azerbaijani Presidentâ€™s portraits started in the country

Sabayel District Executive Body said that there was no problem concerning the presidentâ€™s portraits in the territory of the district. North-western regions of Azerbaijan started removing Ilham Aliyevâ€™s portraits. Shaki region executive body told APAâ€™s local bureau that the process had started in the region after the presidential elections started and there were no portraits of Ilham Aliyev in the region. Meetings were held in Zagatala and Balaken regions in connection with yesterdayâ€™s assembly. Heads of all organizations and establishments, representatives of villages and municipalities were informed about the presidentâ€™s order. Ilham Aliyevâ€™s portraits have not been removed in Gakh region yet. The regionâ€™s executive body said the process would start soon.
The presidentâ€™s portraits have already been removed from their parks and streets in Gazakh and Tovuz regions. The presidentâ€™s order is being executed in Agstafa, Dashkesen, Gedebey and Samukh regions. The execution of the order will start in Ganja tomorrow.
The order has been executed in Goychay Region. APAâ€™s Central Aran bureau reports that the process continues in Zerdab and Ujar regions. The portraits of the president have been removed in Terter, Yevlakh and Aghdam regions. Executive bodies of the regions told APAâ€™s Karabakh bureau that the process continues in Berde, Goranboy and Agjabedi.
The execution of the order has not started in Hajigabul, Shirvan, Salyan and Sabirabad yet. Ilham Aliyevâ€™s portraits are also being removed from the streets and squares in the northern region of Azerbaijan. Deputy Head of Khachmaz Region Executive Power Yetkin Mehmanov told APAâ€™s north bureau that special team had been set up for this. Instructions were given to the municipalities and executive bodies. Deputy Head of Guba Region Executive Power Yusif Abidov said analogous measures were being taken in the region.
The Presidentâ€™s order is also being executed in Masalli, Lerik, Lankaran, Jalilabad, Yardimli, Bilasuvar and Astara regions.
