Vasif Talibov receives head of OSCE Office in Baku

Nakhchivan. Gurbanoglu â€“ APA. Chairman of Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov has received the delegation headed by Jose Luis Herrero Ansola, Head of the OSCE Office in Baku. APAâ€™s Nakhchivan bureau reports that they discussed international election standards, election process without interference, duties of election constituencies and polling stations, implementation of the law on Freedom of Assembly in line with European standards. Briefing about the activity of OSCE Office in Baku in connection with the presidential elections in Azerbaijan Jose Luis Herrero Ansola said 30 long-term observers would arrive in Azerbaijan by late August, 450 short-term observers would come to the country on the eve of the elections, some of them would visit Nakhchivan. He said his visit aimed at familiarizing and determining the opportunities of cooperation between the OSCE Office in Baku and Nakhchivan. Chairman of Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan AR expressed his satisfaction with the workshop held in Nakhchivan on the presidential elections and said that Azerbaijan was first of all interested in holding democratic and transparent presidential elections and everything would be done for holding democratic elections in Nakhchivan.
The sides also discussed issues of mutual cooperation for the implementation of numerous projects prepared by the OSCE Office in Baku in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
