NATO wishes expansion of Azerbaijani military contingent in Afghanistan

He said that the next stage of cooperation between NATO and Azerbaijan will cover concrete goals on civil planning.
â€œWe discussed it with Defense Minister Safar Abiyev. Separate section on civil planning will be in the new plan. There is no special section on cooperation with Defense Industry Ministry and we will offer relevant ministries to attend debates,â€? he said.
Robert Simmons appraised Azerbaijanâ€™s participation in NATO operations. â€œTaking into account the scale of the operations, Azerbaijanâ€™s participation in the operations in Afghanistan and Kosovo is welcoming. The expansion of this participation is being discussed. Azerbaijani government will make a final decision concerning that,â€? he said. /APA/
