Azerbaijani President visits Saatli region

Baku â€“ APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today visited Saatli region, APA reports quoting AzerTAc news agency.

The Head of State first visited the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the centre of the city. The head of Saatli Region Executive Power informed the Head of State about the reconstruction work at the Heydar Aliyev Park here. Following this, President attended the opening ceremony of the administrative building of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) in Saatli region. The Head of State became familiar with the condition created there cutting the red ribbon symbolizing the opening of the building.
During his visit to Saatli, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev also attended the opening of the Youth Center. The Head of State cut the red ribbon symbolizing the opening of the Youth Center. It was said that the center, which was constructed by state funds under relevant order of the Azerbaijani President, was built in the place of the old two-storey building.
President Ilham Aliyev also attended the opening of the new building of Museum of History and Ethnography and Art Gallery in Saatli region. 917 square meter building constructed in the area of the Heydar Aliyev Park has a special design. Stands describing the household goods and labor activities of the people living in the territory of Saatli were created in the yard. Art Gallery was also established at the two-storey building and the gallery was provided with all necessary equipment.
Attending the opening of the Chess School in Saatli, President Ilham Aliyev was informed that the Chess School was established by the funds allocated for the acceleration of socio-economic development of the region under the order of the Azerbaijani President signed on May 11, 2011.
