Everybody, all political forces must obey this law”, Deputy Executive Secretary of YAP Mubariz Gurbanli told APA while commenting on the action scheduled by Public Chamber for November 2. He said that those, who violated the law “On freedom of assembly”, will face the requirements of this law: “Therefore, if someone attempts to hold a rally outside the Azerbaijani Parliament without the consent of Baku City Executive Power, it will be prevented.”

Gurbanli said that unlike the Public Chamber, he supported the amendments, which will be made to the law “On freedom of assembly”, Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offences: “Those who have doubts or objections to these fines, should study the existing laws adopted by other countries. Those, who hold illegal protest actions in all countries, are fined and face other charges, including criminal and increase of fines are being applied only to the persons violating the law. Those, who hold authorized action, will not face any problem.”

Public Chamber passed a decision to hold rally outside the Azerbaijani Parliament on November 2. They will protest against the amendments to be made to the law “On freedom of assembly”, Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offences.
