Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. Union for Democracy put forward an initiative to conduct discussions with Azadlig bloc and Musavat Party on the parliamentary elections to be held in Azerbaijan this year. UD official Pahan Huseyn told APA that they would appeal Musavat and all bloc’s parties to discuss socio-political situation, pre-election atmosphere, Electoral Code, as well as election commissions. The Union prefers to work together with other parties, said Huseyn.

He said Chairman of Classic Popular Front Party Mirmahmoud Miralioglu would negotiate the issue with the leaders of other parties. “There is no question about establishing of any bloc or union. There is question only about the joint discussions. I am not confident that we will receive positive answers, but we can learn alternative ideas”.

Huseyn said the Union for Democracy has already started preparation for the parliamentary elections and nomination of its candidates. The union determined candidates in 94 constituencies, but it was not a final decision, said the union official.
